Staying in a Southern Shores vacation home? Here's how you can use the SSCA amenities including beach parking, tennis and pickleball. 

Beach Parking

You've made it! Now that you're settled into your rental home, it's time to think about getting to the beach. The Southern Shores Civic Association maintains all the beach accesses in Southern Shores, including two beach parking areas. Read more about how to get to the beach on our Beach Access page. To use our parking lots, you will need to display a current SSCA guest parking pass. If your home is a member of the Southern Shores Civic Association, your rental company or host should have provided these to you. If you don't see them, contact your rental company before driving to the beach. We don't want you to get a ticket!

Also please be aware that there are additional parking areas that are not part of the SSCA. Having an SSCA pass will not prevent you from being ticketed in spaces labeled as Town of Southern Shores Parking Permit Required or Chicahauk POA Parking Pass Required. Racquet Sports

Hoping to get your pickleball fix while on vacation? If your vacation home is also a member of the Racquet Club, your rental company should provide you with an email and password to log into Your Courts, where you can sign up for Open Play or reserve a time for Casual Play. If you prefer tennis, they can also provide you with the code to access the tennis courts, where you can use the paper sign up sheets there. Read more about Racquet Club locations and rules on the Racquet Club page. If you aren't sure if your home is a Racquet Club member, please contact your rental company.

More Amenities

All of our parks and green spaces are available for you to use, including the playground at Sea Oats park. Visit our Parks and Trails page for more information about each location. If you drive, make sure you have your SSCA parking pass displayed in your windshield. But you may be closer than you think! Check out the Community Map to see all the walking paths throughout the community. 

Many of our properties overlook the sound, offering the perfect spot for spectacular sunset viewing. This includes our three marinas, which are available for you to visit. Use of the boat ramp requires Southern Shores Boat Club membership, which is shown as a small boat icon on your parking pass. Feel free to walk, bike or drive to any of the marinas for a shady morning jaunt or a peaceful evening sunset.
