MarinasThe SSCA owns three marinas that are available for use by our members: the North Marina, South Marina and the Loblolly Marina. We provide a boat ramp and manage 79 wet boat slips, 27 parking (dry) slips, 52 kayak racks, and a pavilion overlooking the sound. We also offer 1 transient boat slip and 1 transient parking slip for SSCA members that wish to use the marina for a week or two while here on vacation. Slip rentals (wet and dry), kayak racks, and use of the boat ramp are for SSCA members only who are also boat club members. Currently, all boat slips, parking slips and kayak racks are rented, but we do maintain a waitlist for future use. North MarinaLocated at 177 S Dogwood Trail and off Sassafras Lane, the North Marina is our largest marina, and it's where the boat ramp and pavilion are located. The North Marina has both dry slips and wet slips available for annual lease to our members. Some are accessed from the boat ramp side, and even more are accessed from the pavilion side. To get to the North Marina Pavilion, go back out to South Dogwood, turn onto Sassafras Drive and follow that to the right. There is more parking and a big grassy area around the pavilion. This is where we hold many SSCA and Boat Club events, and members can rent out the pavilion for their own private events for a very reasonable fee. Back on the boat ramp side is a paved driveway to use while backing your boat off the ramp. Please leave this area clear when you are done so others have space to use the ramp. The upper gravel parking area is gravel and you will see some of the dry slips against the wooded area. Please be sure not to park in an empty dry slip by mistake! Parking in the upper lot while using the marina is only on the side closer to the water. The ramp is only for SSCA members who have joined the Boat Club, and you must have the SSCA Boat Club sticker or pass on your car and trailer. South MarinaThe South Marina is tucked away at 113 S Dogwood Trail, with more boat slips available for lease. Loblolly MarinaThe Loblolly Marina has about 200 feet of waterfront with more wet slips, dry slips and kayak racks. Loblolly also offers a kayak launch. This marina is nice and protected, but you do need to go under a bridge to get to the open water, so it's not ideal for sailboats. It's easy to get to Loblolly Marina from the North Marina by water, but it's a little roundabout by land. The address is 3 Loblolly Dr, which is accessed from Holly Trail.
