Category: Racquet Club
Southern Shores Civic Association is proud to announce the opening of our pickleball courts at Sea Oats Park. Please join us this Saturday, January 27 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM to celebrate the opening of the two pickleball courts. Rain date is Sunday, January 28. All Racquet Club members of every skill level are invited. Pickleball is easy to learn and is a great way to keep up with friends and meet new ones.
Coffee, donuts and refreshments will be served. Racquet Club Board members will be on hand to demonstrate how to use the online Your Courts reservation system and app to reserve court time. All 2024 Racquet Club members will have instant access to Your Courts. A Welcome email with login information and Rules will be sent out after next Saturday’s Opening. Please RSVP by Thursday, January 25. Click here and let us know how many family members will be attending. Parking is limited so carpool, walk or ride your bike over. Observe all NO PARKING signs on Sea Oats Trail. The walkways around the courts are not completed, so be careful not to track dirt onto our beautiful new courts. Play at your own risk. I would like to thank everyone on the SSCA Board, led by Tisa Head, SSCA Racquet Club Board and especially the Pickleball Subcommittee - Rick Koch, Carol Noonan, Dixie Weier and Trixie White, plus many other volunteers. Without these people and their dedication, none of this would have happened. Please be sure to thank these people personally. Jay Dunlap PLEASE NOTE: After this opening day event, hours of operation for the Sea Oats pickleball courts will be Winter Hours: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily and will include open and reserved play times. All play at Sea Oats pickleball courts will be by reservation only.
We have developed a set of rules that will be posted at the courts, on Your Courts website, and on the SSCA website. For the enjoyment of all, we ask that everyone abide by these rules. Sea Oats Park is in your neighborhood so please respect your neighbors. And remember to keep it fun. |
